New opening hours for the inter-university desk against gender-based violence. The initiative is by the CUGs of the University of Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore, Sant'Anna and Casa della Donna Pisa
New opening hours for the inter-university desk against gender-based violence established in 2022 as an initiative of the Comitati Unici di Garanzia of the University of Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola Sant'Anna and the Casa della Donna Pisa in charge of managing the service. The desk can be contacted by phone at 050 221504 during the following hours Tuesday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., and Thursday 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to speak directly with a staff member. An answer service is also active and an operator will contact those who left a message to schedule an interview by phone or at the desk.
Anonymous, free and with no obligation to report, the Desk is available to those studying, researching, teaching and working in the three universities of Pisa. Anyone who has suffered acts of discrimination and violence based on gender or otherwise related to their sexual identity, even in places other than universities, can contact the desk. Thus, a huge community of more than 60,000 people is affected, which includes students, faculty, technical-administrative staff and companies that have working relationships with the three academic institutions in the city.
The Desk offers, in both Italian and English, a service of listening, assistance, information on rights, directing, in case of special or more complex needs, to facilities, associations, social-health or judicial institutions in the area. To ensure the anonymity of those who turn to it, the location of the Desk is confidential and can be accessed only by sending an email to antiviolenza@ateneipisa.it or by calling 0502215104.
