Pisa Welcomes Talent: all the initiatives promoted to welcome candidates for the admission competition to the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. Numerous facilities to make the stay in Pisa an experience to remember
The written tests for the admission competition to enter the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna are scheduled once again this year at the polo didattico ‘Porta Nuova’, Pisa: the first test for the Industrial and Information Engineering competition area takes place on Wednesday 28 August at 2 p.m. The written tests for Agriculture and Plant Biotechnology take place on Thursday 29 August (9.30 a.m.), while the tests for Medicine are scheduled for Thursday 29 August (3 p.m.). Monday 2 September is the turn of the first written test for the Social Sciences area (2 pm).
The competition also sees the return of the ‘Pisa welcomes talent’ initiative, the programme to welcome candidates to their first meeting with the city of Pisa. The Scuola Sant'Anna is offering those taking part in the admission tests reimbursement of travel expenses, taking into account the income brackets specified in the competition announcement. In addition to this, there are a series of initiatives to make their stay in Pisa an experience to remember: for candidates and also for those accompanying them, there are discounts for accommodation in affiliated establishments or at the Scuola's colleges and other opportunities to get to know Pisa's artistic treasures.
In fact, the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna has renewed its collaboration with the municipality of Pisa and the CoopCulture cooperative to walk on the medieval city walls that encircle the city centre. The candidates and their companions can see the characteristic panorama of Pisa from above, from a privileged perspective, admiring not only the famous monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli, but also discovering hidden glimpses, flower gardens and the architectural heritage of one of the oldest cities in Italy.
Pisa Welcomes Talent', now in its sixth edition, aims to highlight the ability of a city like Pisa, where the high quality of life is combined with a high level of education thanks to the presence of three closely linked university institutions such as the University of Pisa, the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and the Scuola Normale Superiore. The initiatives are designed to make every candidate feel welcome and expected, and to help expand the number of talented students who choose Pisa and the Pisa university system to build their future.
The opportunities and facilities provided in the ‘Pisa Welcomes Talent’ programme will continue for the entire duration of the admission competition, from Wednesday 28 August until the end of the oral tests, scheduled for Thursday 19 September.
