International awards: Giovanni Dosi, professor emeritus of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, receives the Galileo Galilei Award of the Italian Rotary Clubs

Giovanni Dosi, professor emeritus of the Institute of Economics at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, received the Galileo Galilei International Prize promoted by the Italian Rotary Clubs. The Jury, appointed by the Rector of the University of Pisa and composed of Professors Goffredo Vaccaro, Annie Lou Cot, Heinz-Dieter Kurz and Saverio Sani, unanimously awarded Dosi the prize in the scientific field dedicated to Economic Sciences.

Giovanni Dosi is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. His main scientific and academic commitment is in Italy, where he teaches economics and management, and conducts research on a considerable number of different and very important problems of our time, often in international cooperation. He is also active abroad, in research institutions and as a consultant for economic policies, in particular for technological and industrial policies. He is the author of numerous scientific articles, published in leading international economics and management journals. Many of his works have been translated into several languages. In 2016, he received the Wiley TIM Distinguished Scholar Award from the Technology and Innovation Management Division of the American Academy of Management. In 2022, he received the Penrose Award from the EURAM (European Academy of Management) for his research on evolutionary economics.
