The QS World Young University Rankings: Sant’Anna School reached the 11th position in the world rankings, the 4th in Europe: the only Italian under 50 in the QS top 50

The QS World Top 50 Under 50® 2018 celebrates the very best young universities in the world. The Sant’Anna School in Pisa has continually improved its position in the international rankings and has risen in the latest QS Global Rankings as a Top 50 World Young University for teaching, research and international reputation. This year, celebrating its 30th anniversary (it was founded in 1987), Sant’Anna School became the highest ranked young university in Italy.

Based on the results of the British Quacquarelli & Symonds (QS) Top 50 Under 50 rankings, Sant’Anna School ranked 11th in the global Top 50 Under 50, 4th in Europe and it is the only Italian university under 50 years old which performed in the Top 50.

The ranking is created using data from the QS World University Rankings 2018.  Every institution on the list is under 50 years old. QS Rankings enjoy a remarkably consistent methodological framework focusing on criteria that are relevant to millions of international students. Ranking were compiled using six simple metrics that effectively capture the university performance. Sant’Anna School was recognized for providing outstanding support for international students and has shown its longstanding commitment through world-class teaching, research and innovation (citations impact, patents registered and development of new spin-off companies).
