Registrations open for the HTE High-tech Entrepreneurship course: from idea to start-up, skills and tools for the creation of new business models
The HTE course is created in collaboration with EELISA Project and Start Cup Toscana. The course is aimed at: doctoral students who aspire to create an innovative start-up, undergraduates and graduates interested in developing their skills in the entrepreneurial field, young researchers who wish to delve deeper into issues related to technology transfer

The new edition of the HTE High-tech Entrepreneurship course will begin on March 4, 2024, coordinated by Full Professors Andrea Piccaluga and Alberto di Minin of the Management Institute of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. A unique opportunity for PhD students, undergraduates, graduates and young researchers from different disciplines to acquire the key knowledge and skills to transform innovative ideas into successful business models. A complete path to high-tech entrepreneurship.
The HTE course aims to provide participants with a solid knowledge base on:
- Protection of intellectual property and patents
- University-industry collaborations and commissioned research
- Starting a new business and innovative start-ups
- Commercialization of high-tech inventions
- Business planning and business model development
- From theory to practice: developing a start-up proposal
Through an interactive and laboratory approach, participants will have the opportunity to learn from the best experts in the sector, develop their own entrepreneurial project, compare themselves with other students and professionals, receive feedback and mentorship.
At the end of the course, participants will have acquired the necessary tools to develop a start-up proposal and a complete business plan of their business idea.
The 8 lessons of the course, for a total of 20 hours of lessons, will be held in person at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna from 4 March to 17 May 2024. At the end, participants who have attended 80% of the lessons and will present a start-up idea will receive 2 credits.
