The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa is sponsoring the Malnisio Science Festival, scheduled from November 21 to 24, 2025. This important cultural event is dedicated to science communication, offering the public the opportunity to meet experts and researchers from various disciplines, participate in workshops, lectures, and conferences, and explore the most current topics in scientific research in an engaging and accessible way.

During the Science Festival, on November 22 from 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM, Prof. Roberto Buizza from the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Sustainability and Climate will engage in a conversation with journalist Rosy Battaglia on the topic “Weather and Climate: Understanding Them to Predict Them,” highlighting the challenges of comprehending atmospheric phenomena and the potential benefits of accurate forecasting for society and the environment.

Prof. Buizza will also be featured on November 22 at the Meteorology Festival in Rovereto, a national event focused on climate and weather forecasting. The festival brings together meteorologists, researchers, and enthusiasts to discuss climate change, weather predictions, and technological innovations.

At this event, Prof. Buizza will present his book Weather and Climate, offering the public a special opportunity to gain deeper insights into climate dynamics and engage directly with one of Italy’s leading experts.

These events provide a unique opportunity for the public to learn more about scientific research and weather forecasting in an accessible, engaging, and educational format.
