FantaPix! is a combination of fantasy football and Instagram. Two young former students of Sant’Anna School launched today their fantasy game on Instagram, one of the most successful social networks for people under 35, in Italy and all over the world. FantaPix! offers a video game more sophisticated than the typical fantasy football. It provides an innovative and invaluable resource for those who are looking to refine their views of future “battles” between the Instagram stars and then find out the most-followed celebrity on Instagram. FantaPix! will help uploading images in the highest quality. The image optimization means that the Instagram stars will manage to increase resolution and the number of followers, as well.

Social media is constantly expanding: photos, videos, “tweets”, and “snap” have become some of the most innovative and influential consumer technologies for companies worldwide. “So, why not combining the world’s most innovative and influential tools and the most-followed sport?” meditated Matteo Bagheri Ghavifekr and Massimo Ruberti, distinguished graduates (engineering and economics) from Sant’Anna School. FantaPix! has made its Italian debut today. It is now waiting for the global launch worldwide, since Instagram celebrities transcend national boundaries.

In FantaPix! game you play with 1000 Pix (f) virtual money that you are given when you register for free.  You can use your Pix to participate in the tournament and choose the team of the most-followed Instagram accounts. Each team shall be composed of 5 Instagram accounts whose price is determined by the number of the followers and the total number of likes received for the photos uploaded. Players can participate in more than a game. Winners will take the Pix from the game loser and have the chance to win the weekly and monthly prize.

In April 2017 Instagram reached 700 million monthly active users (14 million in Italy), 90% of users are under 35, with 58% of these users female, and 42% male. The developers of FantaPix would like to get women closer to fantasy soccer. FantaPix looks for new ways to entertain users, interact with people and get more followers. “Focusing on Followers is a great way to grow your audience. Who Founded FantaPix!

Massimo Ruberti, 28, is a PhD student in Economics and Management. He graduated in 2014. He focused on gambling maths and probability theory. He published several papers and he wrote winning project proposals for Italian betting shops.

Matteo Bagheri Ghavifekr, 26, is a space engineer. His focus is on surgical robotics. He graduated in 2015. He is currently working with a start-up company. He developed FantaPix! pursuing his passion for fantasy games and thanks to his programming skills.
