Speaker: Roberto Buizza, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, 3CSA Coordinator

Roberto Buizza, Professor of Physics at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies and 3CSA Coordinator (the Climate Change Center founded by Scuola Normale Superiore, Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies and Scuola IUSS Pavia), on april 15, at 9 a.m., gives a seminar about the numerical models of the atmosphere, how they are initialized to generate a weather forecast and the open challenges on which people are working on. He also discusses how a hierarchy of models of increasing complexity could be used in teaching and research. The seminar will be held in the conference hall of the Centro di Ricerca Matematica Ennio De Giorgi, in Piazza dei Cavalieri 3, Pisa.
