PRIN 2022 - Data Driven Innovation. Measuring its Effects on Industries, Firms, and Business Models

The chief aim of this project is to examine the fundamental relations between the characteristics of the current wave of Data Driven Innovation and its effects on the structure and dynamics of industries, with a particular attention to the effects on business and different typologies of organizations engaged with major societal challenges. The project develops along two overarching objectives, seeking to advance both on the front of the empirical assessment of DDI diffusion, and on the front of providing an integrated understanding of the role of DDI at the level of economy, industries, and firms: 1- Identifying DDIs with empirical data at different levels and with different methodological tools; 2- Assessing the uneven impact of DDI at the level of economy, sectors, and firms.
