The ECOFIORE Project, funded by Fondimpresa, is part of ACF Fiorentina’s broader sustainable transformation strategy.

Prior to the project’s commencement, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, serving as the promoting institution, conducted a comprehensive training needs analysis for ACF Fiorentina. This analysis served as the foundation for the development of a tailored training plan.

The primary objective of this training plan is to enhance the knowledge and skills of ACF Fiorentina personnel in the field of circular economy. The initiative aims to provide in-depth coverage of the various dimensions and thematic areas of circular economy, in order to support and strengthen the club’s sustainable transformation journey. The overarching goal is to improve corporate governance and operational management across all departments by identifying, implementing, and managing sustainable solutions within the organization. This will be achieved through the definition of long-term strategies aligned with a continuous improvement approach.

The plan includes a minimum of 570 total training hours, delivered through a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training. The majority of ACF Fiorentina’s employees will be involved, participating in nine training formative actions: one foundational module on circular economy and sports, and eight specialized modules covering topics such as sustainability reporting, carbon and environmental footprinting, circular procurement, and the management of sustainable events, among others.
