ERASMUS+ SPORT GARFIELD: Greenwashing Avoided through Reporting: a Football Initiative for Environmental Leaders to Develop

GARFIELD aims to the create environmental management tools and to bridge sustainability knowledge gaps in professional football clubs and organisations, to face the challenges raised by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and to reduce the risks of greenwashing in their environmental communications and claims. The Project wants to achieve this objective by adopting a holistic approach that involves football clubs from different geographical areas as project partners. Moreover, since the CSRD and the Green Claim Directive targeted by the Project are common for the whole football community, the Project will adopt actions, tools and guidelines aimed to spread and valorize the outputs and results throughout the entire professional football world.

GARFIELD is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Sport programme.
