Residence Terzani
“Tiziano Terzani” College offers 80 beds, distributed across 56 rooms, including 24 doubles and 32 singles, designed to ensure comfort, functionality, and an environment conducive to study. Located on Via San Lorenzo, just a short distance from the Main Campus of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, the college enjoys a strategic position that allows students to fully experience the academic and cultural life of Pisa’s historic center.
The complex is traditionally known as the “ex-Immacolatine,” as it housed the Church and Monastery of Santa Elisabetta during the 17th and 18th centuries. This historical legacy gives the place a unique character, where architectural and cultural dimensions intertwine, offering students a setting of strong identity and significance.
Completely restored and renovated in the spring of 2012, the college has been upgraded to meet modern standards of comfort and safety while preserving some distinctive features of the original structure. The common areas—designed to foster collegiate life—include spaces for study, social interaction, and daily activities.
The college is named after Tiziano Terzani, internationally renowned writer and journalist, as well as a former student of the Sant’Anna School. His figure serves as an inspiration for new generations, embodying the values of curiosity, openness to the world, and civic engagement that are central to the School’s educational experience.
