NGR operates in the sector of collaborative robotics for inspection and maintenance in the railway sector. NGR therefore aims to develop, based on the needs of operators, robotic systems that can be introduced into infrastructures to automate the most critical processes, usually relating to the safety of the infrastructures themselves, such as maintenance processes. In fact, it is in the field of railway maintenance that NGR developed its first product "ARGO" in collaboration with Trenitalia Spa and Deutsche Bahn AG.

ARGO aims to digitize and "remoting" the rolling stocks visual inspection procedure, making the data collected over time usable and analyzable using Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques. ARGO is the enabling technology for 4.0 predictive maintenance in rolling stock inspection field.
