VISION

Higher education and action-research paths (AFR) for professionals in Third mission and impact

COPERTINA VISION

VISION is a 24-month postgraduate higher education project run by Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Scuola Normale Superiore, and IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. The project is designed to train three professional profiles—one for each partner School—specialized in the fields of Third mission and research impact through a combined approach of advanced training and action-research. In particular, the high-level training programme aims to train professionals in the field of technology transfer, with integrated skills in marketing and negotiation, in order to maximize the impact and valorization of research results.

In this regard, the main goal of the project is to increase the capacity of each School to generate socio-economic impact on the territory by enhancing the effectiveness of their respective Third mission activities, particularly those related to the marketing of research results and technologies, and their transfer to the entrepreneurial system, thanks to the strengthening of licensing negotiation and contractual activities for the valorization of research, carried out by their respective research valorization and technology transfer offices (TTOs).

VISION is a project funded under the Toscany Region Call AFR 2024 Call – Advanced Training and Research Schoolarships, that received a grant for three schoolarships—one per participating School—for a total ammount of 181.440,00 €. The AFR 2024 schoolarships are financed by the PR Toscana FSE+ 2021–2027 and are part of Giovanisì, the Tuscany Region’s initiative promoting youth autonomy and empowerment.
