Admission Master’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery sciences
The Master’s degree in Nursing and midwifery sciences is open to those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree enabling them to practice nursing and midwifery. Applications may also be submitted by people holding an equivalent qualification under the current legislation. The candidate’s career is evaluated in order to verify that they meet the curriculum requirements according to the relevant ministerial regulations and the University’s Teaching Regulations. In the case of a bachelor’s degree, the requirements are always met. The candidate's initial preparation is assessed through a competition.
The following holders of one of the qualifications for the practice of one of the health professions included in the class of the master’s degree of interest (LM/SNT/1) may be admitted to the competition:
1. Bachelor’s degree;
2. university diploma;
3. qualifications under Law n. 42/1999, only if they hold the high school diploma necessary for access to university training (Law 8 January 2002, No. 1).
The candidate’s career is evaluated for the purpose of verifying that they meet the curricular requirements, in compliance with the ministerial provisions on the subject and the University Teaching Regulations. In the case of a bachelor’s degree, the requirements are always met.
The initial preparation is ascertained by means of a competitive examination.
Access to the Master’s degree course is scheduled under the terms of Law 2 August 1999 n. 264 and has a duration of 2 years (120 cfu).
Registration for the course is subject to passing an appropriate admission test and on the basis of a quota of places, indicated for each academic year in the call for applications.
The number of places for admission to the first year of the course, the procedures and the content of the test are determined by ministerial decrees.
The test consists of 80 multiple-choice questions, of which only one in five of the programmes defined by ministerial decree is correct.
The questions relate to theory/practice relevant to the exercise of the health professions included in the Master’s degree class of interest, general culture and logical reasoning, Regulation of the exercise of health professions in the master’s degree class of interest and health legislation, scientific-mathematical culture, statistics, computer science, English and humanities and social sciences.
