Living in Pisa
Participants are required to make their own arrangements for accommodation, travel and visa. The overall living costs for international students in Pisa range between 700 and 1,000 EUR/month. These costs include accommodation, food, public transportation, local travel and/or entertainment. You can expect to pay in Pisa between 300 – 600 EUR for housing. Keep in mind that, to rent a room/apartment, most of the real estate agencies ask for a deposit equal to a minimum of two months’ rent, plus the first month’s payment. You are advised to come in Italy several days in advance in order to find an accommodation. Prices vary depending on the district in Pisa in which you live and the type of accommodation. Sharing an apartment with other students is a good way to reduce your monthly expenses. Don’t forget to take into account utilities, which can add between 90 – 260 EUR to your monthly expenses.
