International Women's Day

The history of this day dates back to the women's movement for gender rights and equality in the 19th and 20th centuries.
It was born from the struggles of female workers who demanded better working conditions, trade union rights and the right to vote. Over the years, this celebration has become a significant time to reflect on the progress made and to reaffirm the commitment to gender equality around the world.
International Women's Day is not only a day of celebration, but also a time to recognize the challenges women continue to face. Despite considerable progress, many women around the world still struggle with discrimination, gender-based violence, economic inequality and limited access to education and employment opportunities.
