ANMIC and Sant'Anna School together for the 2nd National Conference "Il Dopo di noi tra politiche pubbliche e strumenti privatistici", an opportunity to reflect on the legislative landscape related to disability

The 2nd National Conference "Il Dopo di noi tra politiche pubbliche e strumenti privatistici" is scheduled for Friday, November 25, from 3 p.m., at the Stazione Leopolda Conference Hall in Pisa. Organized by the Association for the Protection and Representation of People with Disabilities (ANMIC), in collaboration with the Sant'Anna School, the event aims to reflect about the legislative limits and the perspectives opened by the PNRR on independent living projects for people with disabilities, with speeches by experts in the field.

In particular, the conference looks at Law No. 112/2016 " Dopo di noi" to try to answer questions related to the future of people with disabilities after the disappearance of family members. The legislature, with the enactment of the law, has put in place numerous tools whose main purposes include the full social inclusion, autonomy and well-being of people with disabilities. In this direction, Law No. 112/2016 established a special public assistance fund, aimed at severely disabled people without family support, to encourage deinstitutionalization paths and prevent their isolation.

The conference opens with institutional greetings from Luca Pancalli, deputy vice president of ANMIC, and Gaetana Morgante, director of the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Policy, Development) at the Sant'Anna School and professor of Criminal Law. This will be followed by speeches by Nazaro Pagano, national president of ANMIC, Annalisa Cecchetti, national vice president of ANMIC, Elena Vivaldi, professor of Constitutional Law at the Sant'Anna School, Domenico Sabia, head of ANMIC's legislative office, and Cecilia Marchisio, professor of Special Education and Pedagogy at the University of Turin. Alessandra Locatelli, Minister for Disability, is scheduled to participate via remote link.
