The DIRPOLIS Institute (Law, Politics, Development), with the coordination of researcher Lorenzo Gasbarri and thanks to the support of the Confucio Institute of Pisa, is organizing, as part of the Africa Connect project, the conference "China and Europe in the African Continent: Economic, Legal and Political Perspectives", scheduled for November 30 and December 1, 2023, at the Sant'Anna School's main campus.

The event serves as an opportunity to explore the new challenges to relations between Africa, China and Europe posed by the crisis of multilateralism and health emergencies, and opens the call for papers on the proposed topic to develop a constructive and informed discussion on the different strategies pursued by Europe and China in Africa and their impact on the continent's development, governance and security.

The Call for Papers is open until July 15, 2023, with the release of the shortlist of selected candidates by July 30, 2023.
