Building the health ecosystem in the inland areas of Tuscany through the involvement of citizenship: Thursday 7 November in Bibbiena, a conference to learn more about the PNRR Tuscany Health Ecosystem project

The conference, which will also be attended by the Rector of the Sant'Anna School of Pisa Sabina Nuti, aims to find solutions to improve the quality of life of the population living in Casentino and increase the potential of the Third Sector organisations operating in the area. The first results of an online questionnaire addressed to the residents of the Casentino municipalities on key issues such as social and health services, infrastructures, transport will be presented

The conference ‘Building the health ecosystem: the population observatory and the mapping of third sector entities in Casentino’ will take place on Thursday, 7 November 2024 at 11:00 a.m., in the Sala delle Bandiere of Palazzo Niccolini, headquarters of the Municipality of Bibbiena. The meeting, which is open to all citizens, is an important opportunity to learn more about the PNRR projectTuscany Health Ecosystem’ (THE), financed by theEuropean Union through the Next Generation EU programme. In the THE project, the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa coordinates Spoke 10 ‘Population Health’ and has as local partners for health promotion and technological and organisational innovation the Asl Sud Ovest and the Unione dei Comuni del Casentino.

The day, introduced by Filippo Vagnoli, mayor of Bibbiena and president of the Casentino health district, and by Marzia Sandroni, director of the Casentino socio-sanitary district area, aims to focus attention on two fundamental elements for the construction of a health ecosystem in the internal areas: the quality of life of the resident population and the profile and potential of the Third Sector entities operating in the territory. The Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna will be present with Elena Vivaldi, associate professor at the Dirpolis Institute, Filippo Quattrone, researcher at the Interdisciplinary Health Science Research Centre, and Andrea Chiappetta, research fellow at the Interdisciplinary Health Science Research Centre. The conference was concluded by the Rector of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna , Sabina Nuti.


Participation means contribution

During the conference, the research team of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna will illustrate how the data collected will be used to improve local services and promote the well-being of communities. The proceedings will be closed by Prof. Nuti, Rector of the Scuola Sant'Anna and a round table discussion with local administrations and participants.
