Innovation runs fast. Digital transformation is now part of everyday life. In a context of idealised technology, Internet Festival 2022 brings us back to the human dimension of #imperfection: a more ethical and sustainable technology, supporting the needs of living beings. From 6 to 9 October, in Pisa, Internet Festival investigates the forms of the future, addressing topics from the digitalisation of sport to the Metaverse, from NFT to innovations in Public Administration.
The programme includes many activities scattered around the city. The Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna participates with numerous interventions.

The events of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna

On the opening day of the Internet Festival, Francesco Strazzari, full professor at the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics, Development), speaks at the meeting "An Imperfect World", outlining the implications of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on our democracies.
A day on digital rights will be held on Friday, 7 October, at the headquarters of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. The event "Digital Rights" will analyse the challenges of law in the digital dimension with the intervention of Giuseppe Martinico, full professor at the Dirpolis Institute.
Two other events are scheduled at the School on Saturday 8 October. At 2.30 p.m., Francesca Biondi Dal Monte, Giuseppe Martinico and Fabio Pacini (Dirpolis Institute) will be among the speakers at the meeting "Parliament and ICT: adversaries or allies?", organised in collaboration with Blu Book bookshop. The second event will be "A look at the androsphere: galaxy or black hole?": an important reflection on online gender violence.
On Saturday 8 October, Andrea Saba, research fellow at the Dirpolis Institute, will speak at two events scheduled at the Royal Victoria Hotel: 'Sustainability in the agrifood sector' and 'Digital wine'. Maria Chiara Carrozza, president of the CNR and full professor at The BioRobotics Institute, will take part in 'The Next Big Things', a meeting to examine the next big Internet revolutions.
After 9 October, the Internet Festival continues with events organised online. The Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna organises two webinars led by Giuseppe Martinico: "Constitution, Participation and Populism", a discussion on the coexistence between representative democracy and populism, "Digital Constitutionalism in Europe", with a relation on the latest work by Giovanni De Gregorio, 'Digital Constitutionalism in Europe Reframing Rights and Powers in the Algorithmic Society' (Cambridge University Press, 2022).
