The Master of Arts in Human Rights and Conflict Management held annually in Pisa Sant’Anna School and organized by the Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) Institute, examines the latest critical thinking and the key issues surrounding the field of conflict management and human rights studies. Under the patronage of the UN Regional Information Centre, it explores new ways to develop better strategies for resolving conflicts and securing human rights protection. The programme in Conflict Management and Human Rights will equip participants with interdisciplinary skills to avoid and mitigate security risks in conflict and post conflict areas. Applications are accepted by July 3rd, 2018.

This postgraduate course is enabling students to develop human rights, gender violence, and ethno-politics expertise and introduce more efficient practice and processes.  

This Master’s course is delivered through a mix of lectures, seminars and internships (student teaching 400 hours, 480 hours internship requirement) and students are required to produce a dissertation (project work). The course starts on January 14, 2019. It is open to 28 EU and non-EU candidates (20 positions are expected to be available to EU candidates, 8 positions are available to non-EU candidates).

Application deadlines: 3rd July 2018 (first round); 18th September 2018 (second round).
