The Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies confirms its position in the THE - World University Rankings 2026, published by Times Higher Education and referring to the best universities worldwide, regardless of size or year of foundation.
In the recently published ranking, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies remains in the range between 201st and 250th place globally. This is not a foregone conclusion, given the large number of universities evaluated (more than 3,000 in total, with 2,191 institutions included in the ranking) and the increased competitiveness of the overall landscape.
At the national level, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies ranks fourth, together with the Politecnico di Milano and the University of Padua, maintaining its position in the previous ranking.

"Every year, the competition in the ranking becomes increasingly fierce. We are satisfied to have consolidated our position from previous editions. Some indicators, such as teaching quality and technology transfer, confirm the School's competitiveness at an international level. We need to improve in other areas; we are still a young university with ample room for growth. I am confident that, with the commitment of all members, we will be able to strengthen the attractiveness of our institution" comments Rector Nicola Vitiello.
