Soundsafe Care and Next Generation Robotics, born from the research of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, win first and second place respectively in the first edition of the competition promoted by Confindustria Pisa and the Young Entrepreneurs Group.

Research and innovation at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa continue to drive development for the local area and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Two spin-off companies from the School, Soundsafe Care and Next Generation Robotics, took the top two spots on October 20 in the final round of the first edition of “Pisa Impresa: dalla Startup alla Grande Azienda”, the contest promoted by the Unione Industriale Pisana and the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Pisa. The initiative aims to highlight highly innovative ideas and foster dialogue between startups and established companies.

During the award ceremony, held in the auditorium of the Unione Industriale Pisana, the spin-off Soundsafe Care won first prize thanks to a technology that combines robotics and ultrasound to deliver non-invasive treatments with applications in veterinary medicine and, potentially, in human healthcare. The company, founded after more than ten years of scientific research, represents excellence in the field of non-invasive medical technologies, developing innovative applications for tumor ablation in both human and veterinary medicine.

The second place was awarded to the spin-off Next Generation Robotics (NGR), which operates in the field of collaborative and inspection robotics, with the goal of introducing new solutions to the market based on the integration of robotics and AI for railway and industrial applications.

The initiative, strongly supported by Confindustria Pisa and the Young Entrepreneurs Group, promoted collaboration among companies, startups, and institutions to strengthen the local production system and encourage cross-generational exchange within the business community.

The success of the two spin-offs from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna confirms the School’s role as an incubator of high-impact innovation and entrepreneurship, capable of transforming scientific research into economic and social value for the region.
