SYNC

I EDITION | ON SITE | APPLICATION

Deadline for Registration

September 29th 2025

Period
17-21 November 2025

Learning objectives
The SYNC Seasonal School explores the frontiers of sustainable supply chain management (SCM), equipping participants to tackle the ecological transition amid new regulations, geopolitical tensions, and rising consumer expectations.
The course blends theory and real-world case studies to explore how supply chains are evolving technologically, organisationally, and strategically. Participants will analyse tools to design sustainable and resilient SCM models, with a focus on key drivers like geopolitics, innovation, natural resource dependency and circular economy. They will gain hands-on expertise in creating long-term value and developing risk mitigation strategies. Thanks to its partnership with ADACI (Italian Association for Purchasing and Supply Management), the course offers intense engagement with supply chain managers, shedding light on how this profession is changing and the related implications for skills development and organisational design within companies.

Teaching methodologies
Students will find an interactive and cross-disciplinary learning environment that will stimulate a rigorous reflection on sustainable SCM. The course will adopt an interactive teaching approach, combining lectures, guided discussions, case study analysis, and hands-on simulations. Guest speakers from the industry and critical reflection sessions will provide valuable insights, helping participants deepen their understanding of key concepts and apply them to real-world scenarios. Intense group activities and a field trip in a relevant industrial environment will allow students to enrich their learning experience with immersive discussions in relevant empirical environments.

Target participants
The SYNC Seasonal School is open to students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes (or equivalent qualifications for international applicants) from different backgrounds, including, for instance, but not exclusively, management, economics, law, political science, engineering, and environmental sciences.
