JOTTO FAIR 2019 edition, takes place in Lucca on May 10, promoted by Sant'Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, Scuola IUSS Pavia: higher education research institutions engage with companies
The JoTTO Fair initiative is a Sant'Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, and Scuola IUSS Pavia joined-up approach to support the business development of the academic research outputs.
The JoTTO Fair 2019 takes place in Scuola IMT - Lucca on May 10. Through the Joint Technology Transfer Office (JoTTO) online platform, the four institutions are engaged to “matchmaking” researchers and companies. The platform will enable businesses to link with research of relevance to their activities and academics looking for strategic partnerships to support their technology transfer plans. The platform is designed to enable flexible and quick exchange of information to maximise the social and economic impact of research. Researchers from Sant'Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, and Scuola IUSS Pavia will give a 4-minute pitch presentation related to their research areas and expertise.
On 15 September 2017, Scuola Normale and Sant’Anna School hosted the first edition of the JoTTO FAIR- La ricerca incontra le imprese in Pisa. Nearly 200 people participated in the JoTTO Fair 2017. 54 researchers presented their research projects (24% working in the ICT sector; 20% research in Chemistry; 18% Life Sciences; 18% Social Sciences; 11% Robotics and 9% Nanotechnology and Agriculture). 43 companies attended 200 bilateral meetings and presentations.
