2019/06/13 Betting, Selection, and Luck: A Long-Run Analysis of Repeated Betting Markets

In the article “Betting, Selection, and Luck: A Long-Run Analysis of Repeated Betting Markets”, which will appear in the Special Issue on "Information Theory, Social Inquiry, and Economic Analysis: History and Recent Developments" of the journal Entropy, EMbeDS researchers Giulio Bottazzi and Daniele Giachini provide information theoretic criteria to asses the relative performance of betting strategies in repeated betting markets.
The proposed criteria can be applied also in the case of an informationally constrained analysis in which complete information about agents' strategy is lacking.
