ECCELSI aims to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the strategic supply chains of the cross-border region by promoting innovative models of industrial symbiosis. Through this approach, the project seeks to foster collaboration among businesses, transforming production waste into new resources and encouraging a more efficient use of raw materials.

ECCELSI envisions the creation of an industrial symbiosis facilitation network, serving as a reference point for companies interested in sharing resources, expertise, and synergy opportunities. This network will enable businesses to identify innovative solutions to reduce waste and enhance the sustainability of their production activities.

A key element of the project is the development of a digital platform dedicated to the valorization of production waste. This tool will allow companies to network production residues, by-products, and unused resources, facilitating their reuse by other industrial entities and creating new business opportunities based on the circular economy.

In parallel, ECCELSI will organize a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the skills and operational capacities of the participating companies. Through capacity-building activities and matchmaking events, SMEs will gain knowledge and tools to integrate industrial symbiosis into their business models while connecting with potential partners to foster new collaborations. Additionally, the project includes funding for pilot projects, enabling the field testing of innovative and replicable solutions, demonstrating the tangible benefits of industrial symbiosis across different production sectors.
