Tuscany X.O
Tuscany EU Digital Innovation Hub

TUSCANY X.0 is one of the 13 Italian projects that won the European call for the development of a European Digital Innovation Hub aimed at technology transfer through advanced digital technology, Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing and Digital Security.
Small- and medium-size companies and public bodies will have the opportunity to use easy, accessible and locally-sourced technology and services.
Namely, Tuscany X.0 is a centre targeted to Tuscany-based companies that will help create and strengthen a network of EDIHs and other, similar stakeholders.
The Project has been going on since 1st October 2022 and will be supported with 5.210.575,79 euros over 42 months, partly by the EU (under the “European Digital Innovation Hubs Call-DIGITAL-2021-EDIH-01), and partly by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) to cover the listed services, mainly (but not limited to) Artificial Intelligence, Supercomputing and Cybersecurity.
In the framework of Tuscany X.0 the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies offers to Small- and medium-size companies and public bodies services of Test Before Invest (TBI)
in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI):
- Data analysis, AI-based and computer vision solution to be demonstrated through simulations by analogy or within a lab setting (Feasibility study);
- Service for customising and testing AI prototypes in the industrial environment, developing HW/SW for the specific case study (Industrial Co-Creation);
- Verification of the quality and availability of business data needed to build robust artificial intelligence models (Engineering & Data);
in the field of Supercomputing-HPC:
- Service for approaching the users interested in HPC technology to define its technological needs, to show different scenarios or case studies of the technology in practice and to ideally collect the first specifications of the new case (Awareness);
- Specific conceptualization of HPC-based models using HPC resources available on departments and university clusters (Feasibility study HPC);
in the field of Cybersecurity:
- Assessment of the Cyber risk level and the effectiveness of the security measures taken (Identify);
- Recovery process designed to recover a service to a previous operating state (Recover).
