In the presence of local institutional representatives, the event marked a significant moment not only for the city but for the entire community, which recognizes culture as a driving force for growth and social cohesion.

The new portal was developed with the technical and innovative support of the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence (IIM) at the Sant’Anna School. It stands out for its adoption of cutting-edge technologies designed to break down digital barriers and promote accessibility for all.

Among its main innovations is the creation of virtual humans for the section dedicated to LIS (Italian Sign Language), a solution that enables individuals with hearing disabilities to access cultural content without obstacles, making the experience of knowledge both inclusive and engaging.

This project is the result of a virtuous synergy between academic excellence and local organizations, such as the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired ATS EPS and the Versilian Sports Club "I Silenziosi." Together, they have demonstrated that innovation and culture can go hand in hand for the common good.

The Sant’Anna School, with its solid expertise in technological innovation serving society, reaffirms its role as a strategic partner and a leader in applied research.

The Library's new website is more than just a digital tool: it represents a clear and powerful message about the value of culture as a shared, accessible, and universal resource. This milestone marks a decisive step forward toward a society where knowledge is truly within everyone's reach, with no exclusions.
