This research area aims to support public administrations, businesses and citizens in the transition towards the circular economy paradigm, that aims to preserve the value of resources (materials, water and energy) over time, from a life cycle perspective. In this context, the area uses Life Cycle Management tools, such as the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology to identify and measure the environmental performance of products, processes and entire supply chains to support decisions both in the context of production and consumption systems.
