What is GreenAgers?

GreenAgers is an innovative project created by Associazione Progetto .TER.R.Æ. and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna which aims to actively involve young people in promoting sustainability and environmental protection.

The project aims to educate and raise awareness among new generations on the importance of protecting the environment and adopting practices that respect the ecosystem by promoting active participation and the creation of networks of young people committed to the dissemination of good practices.

What do we do?

The objective is to "transform" the young generations into agents of change, capable of reversing the trend and promoting a more sustainable way of life. To do this, volunteers from the .TER.R.Æ.Project Association and the Public Engagement team of the Sant'Anna School have created a structured and well-defined program which is divided into 3 moments:

  • The first day dedicated to frontal lessons and creative workshops that help to better understand eco-sustainable policies
  • The second day dedicated to the practice of plogging: a walk to collect waste from roads, countryside, wooded areas and beaches.
  • A multimedia contest - to be carried out individually or in groups, which collects what has been learned during the project

The first edition of GreenAgers, carried out between April and June 2024, involved over 100 girls and boys from the first classes of middle schools in Casciana Terme Lari.
