The Management and Health Laboratory (MeS), established in 2004 under the name "Management and Healthcare Laboratory (Laboratorio Management e Sanità)", is one of the three research areas within the Institute of Management at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.

Directed by Milena Vainieri, the Laboratory currently brings together approximately 40 members, including faculty, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, technologists, technical and administrative staff, and PhD candidates. The group's activities focus on the study, evaluation, and improvement of health and social care systems through management-oriented approaches and tools.

The information systems and technological innovations developed to support the governance of healthcare systems are conceived and led by Domenico Cerasuolo.

The Laboratory's staff is coordinated by Federica Covre. Communication and event management activities are overseen by Francesco Noferi.

MeS works in close collaboration with the other research areas of the Institute of Management, as well as with the institutes and research centers of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. Through these partnerships, it contributes to the development of interdisciplinary initiatives, including the Interdisciplinary Health Science Center and the AfricaConnect special project.
