JOINT TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OFFICE: SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION IN THE “BORSA DELLA RICERCA” FORUM , SANT’ANNA SPIN OFF TO SILICON VALLEY

Jotto, the new office of joint technology transfer between the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and IMT Lucca, successfully participated in the “Borsa della ricerca” forum, and 3dNextech, spin off company from Sant'Anna School, won one of the "Research Exchange Awards". During this seventh edition of the forum, Jotto participated in numerous meetings and seminars and pursued the  "networking", to learn more about the current opportunities linked to the enhancement of the research activities carried out by Pisa and Lucca three university colleges. In this context, companies and investors are much interested in Jotto’s activities, also looking at the technological offer in relation to potential collaborations and the development of existing research projects. 

Four spin-offs from Sant'Anna School, Wearable Robotics Srl, Better Than Real Srl, Technodeal and 3dNextech, together with  the Biology Laboratory of the Scuola Normale Superiore,  participated in the “Borsa della Ricerca”.

Specifically, 3dNextech was the winner of one of the "Borsa della Ricerca Awards" (new award established for 2016), designed to support the spin off companies and actually to turn ideas into innovations. The prize awarded to Sant'Anna spin-off company, which produces devices for treatment of plastic surfaces, is a prize offered by the Business Association Italy America (BAIA). Thanks to the award  3dNextech company will travel to California in November 2016 to present their project to the companies based in Silicon Valley.
