This 2018 course will introduce the new measures for the agreements between trade unions and employer organisations, new procedures to support self-employed workers and consultants, the global employment trends and the rules to promote ‘smart-working’ for employees, because of many reforms introduced by Parliament. The training course, organized by Sant’Anna School Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) Institute in partnership with TiForma, will accept applications until 22 February 2018.

This program will provide law, political science, economics graduates, HR Professionals with one year experience, trade unions representatives and labour consultants with a strong foundation for a broad range of careers ranging from commercial lawyers to human resources specialists.

Classes will be delivered in a three months period from March 2, 2018 to May 25, 2018 for a total of 43 learning hours. Lessons are offered at TI Forma Consulting - Florence via Giovanni Paisiello 8. The course is aimed at law, political science and economics graduates.

The course is coordinated by Paolo Carrozza, Esq., professor of Sant’Anna School, and Pasqualino Albi, Esq., professor of University of Pisa. It examines labour law and corporate governance from both an economic and socio-political perspective. Topics cover a complex system of rules provided by law and collective bargaining agreements aimed at the liberalisation of fixed-term contracts, the flexibility in the market and the economic incentives for enterprises hiring new employees.

“It is important to obtain advice to exploit the opportunities provided by the new regulations and minimise the risk of litigation. There is increasing focus on employment relationship to ensure compliance with new public policy. Academics and practitioners should focus on recommendations for public and private policy makers about equity/anti-discrimination in employment policy, flexible employment conditions and retention of highly trained staff. We should be able to employ a strategy based on high levels of stakeholder engagement. This will allow the negotiation process to result in a mutually beneficial agreement” said Paolo Carrozza and Pasqualino Albi.
