SANT'ANNA school master program ON “HUMAN RIGHTs AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT” 2019: A HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR THE FIRST ROUND OF ADMISSION

Over the past seventeen years, the Sant’Anna School postgraduate training centre has developed a successful Master of Arts in Human Rights and Conflict Management teaching model that integrates the better strategies for resolving conflicts and securing human rights protection. Along with the combined theoretical and practical experience, the students will engage in open discussions, lectures, seminars and internships (student teaching 400 hours, 480 hours internship requirement). At the closing date for requesting admissions, the Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) Institute at Sant’Anna School received 215 first round applications from EU and non EU candidates representing over 40 countries.

This interactive course will offer selected participants the opportunity to experience and gain fundamental and relevant skills for a career in human rights protection, peacebuilding, politics and processes of reconciliation, transitional justice.

The ultimate goal of this student-focused program is to offer a broad spectrum of opportunities so the participating students can start to develop a strong philosophy, ethic and direction towards issues such as human rights, gender violence, and humanitarian emergencies.

The Master course Human Rights and Conflict Management starts on January 14, 2019. It is open to 28 EU and non-EU candidates (20 positions are expected to be available to EU candidates, 8 positions are available to non-EU candidates). The deadline for the second round applications is 18th September 2018
