Available positions
15 positions with scholarship funded as described below:
9 with scholarship funded by Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies
Additional scholarships may be financed with project funds, including projects funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and by INAIL, as detailed in the annex.
6 with scholarship funded by Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia of which:
- 1 in the framework of the research line Soft BioRobotics Perception
- 2 in the framework of the research line Smart Bio-Interfaces
- 2 in the framework of the research line BioInspired Soft Robotics
- 1 in the framework of the research lines Smart Healthcare Technologies e CMI
What does the PhD in BioRobotics offer?
- interdisciplinary and international research environment

- three-years scholarship of € 18,800.00 per year
- housing grant of € 2,200.00 per year

- 50% increase in the scholarship for research periods abroad
- individual budget for expenses related to the research activity
How to enter the program?
To enter the program you must submit an application containing the following documentation (see PhD admission call and annex for details):
- copy of an identity document
- CV
- motivational letter (1 page)
- research plan (3 pages)
- certification (with grades and exams) of the achievement of the bachelor’s degree
- certification (with grades and exams) of the achievement of the master’s degree (or of the passed exams if the degree has not yet been obtained)
- weighted average of the exam marks obtained in the bachelor’s and master’s degree courses (with conversion into CGPA for non-Italian degrees)
- summary of the master’s degree thesis (3 pages)
- contacts of 2 reference persons
- indication of up to 3 research lines
- (optional) copy of any other relevant title (e.g. articles, certificates, …)
Persons whose application will be positively evaluated will be invited to the interview.
