Bio

She is a Post-Doc Fellow within the “Regenerative Technologies” Lab of the BioRobotics Institute. In 2013, she received a Master of Science in Molecular Biotechnology at Birmingham University, UK, with a thesis on tetraspanin CD82/KAI1 in breast cancer, under the supervision of Dr. Elena Odintsova. In 2018 she got her PhD in Oncogemics and Molecular Genetics from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands, under the supervision of Dr. Andreis Marinus Bergman. Her research was carried out at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam and was focused on the role of androgen receptor in prostate cancer stromal cells. In 2019 she joined the Molecular Immunology lab held by Dr. Mario Paolo Colombo at the National Cancer Institute (INT) in Milan, where she studied the role of the protein JMJD6 in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer. In 2024 she started her second Post-doc at the BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, where she joined the Regenerative Technologies lab, held by Professor Ricotti. She is currently project manager of the in vitro studies of the WOUND project, funded by INAIL and focused on biophysical stimulations and smart patches as therapeutic approaches for chronic wound treatment.

Ricerca

She has a strong background in Oncology research, which stays a great interest of her. She is now focused on the therapeutic effects of biophysical stimuli, including Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field in chronic wound healing.

Corsi

She attended multiple national and international conferences in the Oncology and Immunology field. In 2024, she held the lecture of 'Basics Concept of Biology', part of the 'Bionic Organs and Tissues' module, within the 'Advanced Interventional and Therapeutic Technologies Bionic Organs and Tissues' course taught by Professor Ricotti
