Torna a Sant'Anna Magazine

The Conference will be held at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna on 4 and 5 July 2016, lasting one day and a half. Panelists will include professors and researchers from the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and from other institutions. The event focuses on international law issues that are of concern for both Italy and China with the aim of exploring the avenues followed by the two countries to face current challenges. The contribution of distinguished scholars from China and Italy will help clarify how such approaches differ and how they are influenced and shaped by local values, cultural specificities and legal traditions of the two countries.

Organisation and structure of the conference

The event will be jointly organised by the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and the China University of Political Science and Law with the support of the Confucius Institute of Pisa. The conference is structured around the five thematic sessions described below, each including a set of more specific sub-topics. For each of the sub-topics, Italian and Chinese scholars will deliver 20-minutes presentations. At the end of the presentations, the floor will be opened to debate for twenty minutes.
