Is scheduled for February 27, from 1 p.m., the seminar “Sustaining Global ClimateActionKey Issues from Climate COPs and the School's Engagement”. The event will take place in the Aula Talento All'Opera (Boyl Palace) and online, via this link.

Abstract

With governments falling short of keeping global temperatures within the limits set by the Paris Agreement a decade ago, and the United States (once again) withdrawing from the process, it is imperative to rethink how the international community can sustain a low-carbon and resilient future amid growing geopolitical frictions and the resurgence of climate denialism. Against this backdrop, the seminar has two main objectives. First, it examines the current state of global climate action and potential pathways for reform, featuring insights from a longstanding participant in UN climate conferences. Second, it highlights the activities of the Scuola, which, having recently obtained 'observer organisation' status, aims to enhance its engagement in the process by advancing its research, strengthening its network, and contributing through capacity-building and dissemination initiatives.
