Bio

Giulia Schneider earned a PhD in International Law and Economics from Bocconi University in 2020. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the LIDER-Lab of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies from 2019 to 2021, and an assistant professor (non-tenure track) in the Faculty of Banking Sciences at the Catholic University of Milan from 2022 to 2025, where she taught courses in corporate governance as well as fintech and sustainability law. She also served as an adjunct professor of corporate governance at the Faculté de Droit of the Université Catholique de Lille from 2019 to 2025.

In February 2025, she joined the DIRPOLIS Institute at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies as a tenure-track assistant professor in business law. Her research primarily lies at the intersection of business and financial law, information technology regulation, and sustainability-related governance.

On these topics, she collaborates with CETIF (the Research Centre on Technology, Innovation and Financial Services) at the Catholic University of Milan. She is a member of the Associated Researchers Group (ARG) of the European Banking Institute (EBI) and of the European Law Institute (ELI). She is a member of the editorial committee of Opinio Juris in Comparatione and of the Florence editorial team of Rivista di diritto societario (RDS).
