Jacopo Cricchio is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Innovation Management at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, where he specializes in the intersection of emerging technologies and innovation policy. His academic journey, enhanced by international experiences at institutions like Zhejiang University, the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, and Copenhagen Business School, has deepened his expertise on the innovation policy and impact of new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and blockchain. Fluent in Chinese, Jacopo’s doctoral research focused on the evolution of China’s AI innovation ecosystem, particularly the role of open innovation, knowledge brokerage, and regional disparities. His work delves into how these technologies, supported by innovation policy, can drive sustainable development on a global scale. He actively contributes to international policy dialogues, notably through the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), merging his focus on technology with sustainability.
