Juliana Redondo
Bio
She is is a Post-Doc Fellow within the “Regenerative Technologies” Lab of the BioRobotics Institute. She obtained her M. Sc. Degree in Medical Biotechnology at the Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca in 2009 (cum laude) with a thesis on biological characterization of Mesenchymal stem cells and in 2012 she got a Ph.D in Neuroscience.
During her Ph.D she spent 1 year at the “Multiple Sclerosis and Stem cells group” at Bristol University (UK) held by Professor Neil Scolding. In 2013 she started a Post-doc there studying mechanisms of neurodegeneration and stem cell dysfunction in multiple sclerosis (MS). She also carried out integrated laboratory research alongside the clinical trial ACTiMuS (NCT01815632), contributing to optimisation of cellular therapies for progressive MS patients.
She is the author or co-author of 25 papers published in ISI journals and one book chapter.
In 2024 she started her second Post-doc at the BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, where she joined the Regenerative Technologies lab.
Ricerca
She is currently working on an INAIL-financed project, MioPRO2, combining stem cell-based strategies and bioengineering for muscle regeneration.
Besides her research activities, she is involve in teaching and supervision of students.
Corsi
She attended multiple national and international conferences with oral and poster presentations.
