Mitisha Gaur
Bio
Mitisha is a qualified lawyer (India, 2019) and an interdisciplinary AI governance expert based in London. She recently submitted her PhD in AI & Society as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, developing a sociotechnical framework for responsible, cost-effective AI adoption in public and private organisations, aligned with EU and UK regulations, including the EU AI Act. She has working with the Italian Data Protection Authority as a researcher (secondment) and contributed to the Horizon 2020-funded LeADS Project on AI ethics, governance, and data strategy, gaining expertise in regulatory risk management and operationalising AI governance across complex environments. Previously, Mitisha worked at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., advising global social media, fintech, and cloud infrastructure clients on regulatory compliance, product structuring, legal risk, and data governance, while also authoring white papers and designing training modules on emerging technologies, including AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.
