PhD Scholarships for Palestine

A public selection process is being held at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa (hereafter referred to as "the School") for additional positions with scholarships reserved for Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian Territories. These students are interested in applying for a research doctorate under the Agenzia Italiana per la cooperazione e lo Sviluppo (AICS) Initiative called "Multidisciplinary action aimed at supporting the gender equality education in Palestine"
In case of force majeure or proven difficulties in accessing online platforms (e.g., internet disruptions or restricted connectivity) applicants can send all required documents via email to protocollo@santannapisa.it by the deadline, with the subject line: "Call for Additional Scholarships for Admission to PhD Courses, XLI Cycle, A.Y. 2025/2026”.
Required Information to Include in the Email:
Full name (surname and forename), place and date of birth, citizenship and Place of Residence.
Type of secondary school diploma, graduation date, and the name of the school or institute.
Details of your academic qualification required for admission, including the degree course, its duration, and the issuing university.
If you have not yet obtained your degree, the expected date of graduation.
Your email address for all communications related to the call.
Required Documents to Attach (in PDF format):
- A copy of a valid identity document (a copy of your passport is preferable for non-EU applicants).
- A certificate of your academic qualification for admission:
For degrees obtained outside Italy:
- A certificate from your university confirming your second-level university degree, including the type of degree, date of award, and final grade. You also need a transcript of records with all exams taken, grades, and the grading scale.
For degrees to be obtained outside Italy: A certificate of enrollment in a program granting access to a PhD. This document should include details of exams taken, grades, the grading scale, and the expected date of completion.
Note: All documents for degrees obtained or to be obtained abroad must be in English.
Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum in Italian or English.
- Motivational Letter in Italian or English.
- A Research Project in English, up to 3000 words (excluding the bibliography). It should include the title, scientific background, purpose, expectations, and methodologies.
- A copy of your master's thesis or an abstract. If you have not yet graduated, you should submit a final draft or an abstract.
- Copies of any other relevant qualifications or publications you may have.
