!NEW!!: 1 position co‑funded by the ERC‑SUSTECH project (Accelerating SUStainable TECHnological Trajectories with computational chemistry and machine learning) and by the Department of Excellence (l’EMbeDS). The scholarship is reserved for candidates who will submit a research proposal in the field of innovation and who are willing to work on topics related to sustainability in the chemical industry.

What does the PhD in Economics offer?
- An interdisciplinary and international research environment
- Four-year doctoral scholarship of € 19.740 gross per year + a housing allowance of € 2.200 gross per year. The total amount corresponds to approximately €1.600 net/month.
- 26 free meals per month at the School’s canteen
- 50% scholarship increase for research periods abroad
- Personal budget for research-related expenses (10% of the scholarship)
What documents do you need to participate?
MANDATORY
- Valid identity document
- Self-certification of the qualification obtained or to be obtained in Italy, including the list of examinations taken
- Certificate issued by the institution awarding the qualification obtained or to be obtained abroad, including the list of examinations taken
- Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum
- Motivation letter
- Research project
- Copy of the MSc degree thesis. Candidates who have not obtained their qualification yet should attach a copy of the final draft of their degree thesis or an abstract of it.
Please note: All mandatory documents must be submitted; failure to comply will result in exclusion from the call.
OPTIONAL
- Reference letters from at least two academic scholars (e.g., MSc thesis advisor) or other experts who had the opportunity to assess the applicants’ work during their academic studies are strongly recommended. Applicants should add each referee’s name, surname, and institutional e-mail address in the online application form so that each referee will receive a link to upload their reference letters within three days after the application deadline.
- Publications and any other documentation that may contribute to providing an assessment of the candidate’s skills and attitudes.
