The “Summer School on Mathematics for Economic and Social Sciences” aims to improve the knowledge of mathematical methods among graduate students in economics and social sciences, with a focus on those techniques which, while commonly used, are not properly covered in typical graduate programs.

The School is an interdisciplinary venue intended to foster interactions between mathematical and social scientists. It is funded and organized by the Mathematics Research Center “Ennio De Giorgi” and partially supported by the International Doctoral Program in Economics of the Sant'Anna School.

The 2023 edition, to be held Sept 11-15, 2023 in San Miniato, will focus on topics in optimization theory applied to the domains of Economics and Finance. Lectures will be held by Prof. Gozzi (Luiss, Rome) and Prof. Federico (University of Genova).
