Off-campus access

School VPN


What: Most of the Library's online resources are available via the School network. A VPN connection (Virtual Private Network) is available to allow affiliated members to access resources from home. 

Who: The service is provided to all affiliated members with a Sant’Anna School account (including Guest account)

How: To use the VPN, you must first install the client on your device. Follow the instructions here.  

Once FortiClient has been installed, simply open the application and log in with your credentials the next time you need it.

Through the VPN connections you can get from home almost all the resources licensed by the Library.

 

 Shibboleth


What: Some databases offer remote access via Shibboleth with your School credentials.

Who: The service is provided to all affiliated members with a Sant’Anna School account name.surname; Guest account are not enabled.

How:  Shibboleth access may slightly change between different databases, but you can broadly follow these steps:

  • Open the database and click on “Login/Sign in”
  • Select the institutional access, as “Institutional/Shibboleth login”, “Login via your Institution” or similar
  • From the drop-down menu, select the Italian federation “Italy – IDEM/GARR” and the name of our institution “Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna”
  • Now login with your School account and browse the resource

Orbis and Wolters Kluwers databases are accessible only through Shibboleth.

 

Registration by institutional email


What: Some others databases and online contents are accessible through a registration with your institutional credentials: ScienceDirect, Embase, Scopus, MLOL Newspapers & Magazines, Sole 24Ore, The New York Times, The Economist.

Who: This option is available to all affiliated members with a Sant’Anna School account name.surname; Guest account are not enabled.
